I want to become and Engineer because I love fixing stuff and I love technology. I am curious about technology, I am much more interested in the invention of cars that help solve air pollution and care about the environment. Through the classes I have been taught by Ma’am Modiba, I learnt how pollution has affected our environment and has increased towards global warming. Therefore, I want to be part of the creation of technology that helps in reducing the impact of pollution. I want to innovate cars that are less expensive for those who cannot afford to buy cars, mostly people in the lower economy class. My passion for mathematics makes it easier for me to pursue engineering as it is needed to become a professional. With the success I will attain in the engineering industry, I want to give back to the community by means of building a homeless shelter for those who are in need.

I want to become an Engineer because I am passionate about fixing engines, cars and things around the house. I am fascinated about electricity and the ability it has to power things in order to make them work. I come from a village that is disadvantaged in such a way that information about engineering is not provided. Therefore, not many of my peers are interested in pursuing engineering as a career. This Career Day Experience has motivated me in such a way that the exposure at BMW build my confidence to continue my dream and challenge myself into becoming a professional engineer.

During my younger day my father loved to fix cars and other broken items around the house. I always enjoyed watching him fixing stuff and sometimes I would volunteer to help him out. I am a very creative person and I particularly like to put my creative thoughts into action. During the pandemic, I occupied my time with building items from using cardboard and my father would always support me in building better designs. I am inspired by my father because his passion for fixing things made me fall in love with engineering. He encourages me to chase after my dreams and my dream is to become as successful as he is. I have a dream that one day I will innovate a technology in his honour for I am grateful for his endless support.
